Have your past experiences made you a nervous wreck?

A Message from Noelyne...

Babies come into the world like a blank canvas ready to be developed into a beautiful masterpiece.  Every moment of every day they are growing and learning and know how to be happy.  The laughter of children in the playground is a delight to hear.  Most children have no fear when they are small.  They will happily put their hands on a hot oven door or in a fire as they don't know that it's not a good thing to do.  It's only as they experience situations and learn from their parents and teachers about what is good and bad that they develop and change.

Those fortunate to have supportive encouraging people in their lives will develop to their full potential.  Parents will do their best to guide and support their offspring to make good decisions.  However, parents will be doing so based on their own view of the world and what is best for you, which normally comes with limits.  Their own limits based on their own beliefs and experiences.

If you have people in your life who are not supportive, make poor decisions and behave badly towards you it can limit your progress through life and impact your success.  If you don't realise the way that these people have affected you then you will not be achieving your full potential.  Your past experiences could even make you feel a nervous wreck and continue to do so even after these people have left your life.  You may think that you have no choice and that this is your lot and there's nothing you can do.  You are destined to live a life of fear.

Well thankfully you don't have to.  You can overcome your fears no matter what the cause of the fear.  The important thing is to want to.  That's the first step.  Once you decide to change you will become aware of opportunities around you.  For example, my Free Special Report on How to Overcome your Fears.  Click here to request it now.

Is your lack of success due to the people in your life?

A Message from Noelyne...

Do you have someone in your life who is unable to make up their mind what to do?  Does your partner decide to do something and then changes their mind at the last minute? Do you end up feeling frustrated and not doing what you want to do?  Are you so eager to please your partner or family and so want to spend time with them that you tolerate their behaviour only to end up disappointed and irritated with yourself?

The people in your life have a massive impact on the quality of your life.  Their thoughts, beliefs and behaviour affect your emotional state, the decisions you make and the results you get in life.  If you have very supportive, encouraging people who want the best for you and accept you for who you are without judgement, it can be very empowering for you.  The opposite can be very destructive.

If you are not getting the results that you want is it due to allowing yourself to be influenced by the people in your life?  Be honest with yourself as anything less than honesty is not honesty is it?  The only person you deceive is yourself.  Take a good look at your relationships with your nearest and dearest.  Are you doing what you want to do or what they think you should be doing?  How happy are you with your life?

The next tiem your partner or family cannot make up their minds what to do, take a few minutes to decide what you would like to do and then do it.  Don't allow other people to reduce the quality of your life.

Enjoy the process of life,

Noelyne Jones

The past does not have to equal the future

A Message from Noelyne...

Is your past holding you back?  Do you blame your past experiences for your lack of success?  Do you say things like 'I would have been so successful if I had had a better childhood' or 'If only my parents had been more outgoing and confident'.  Do you blame a relationship that you have or had for your current situation?  Do you still feel hurt and angry because of the way someone treated you?

There are many experiences and situations in your past that you can blame for your lack of success, if you choose to.  The problem with blame and focusing on the bad experiences is that you are re-living those experiences now.  You are allowing past experiences to continue to affect you in the here and now, which in turn holds you back from achieving better experiences and success.  Being aware of this means that you can choose to change your thoughts.  It's not easy to begin with as you will catch your mind wandering back to the past.  You need to discipline your mind to think good thoughts, positive thoughts, thoughts of what you want to achieve.

So do you see how the past does not have to equal the future?  Stop focusing on the bad experiences of the past and start thinking about what you want instead.  All the wonderful things that you want to happen.  Don't worry about how you will achieve them.  You just need to start thinking about what you want.

The past is exactly that - the past.  It's over and done with.  You are unable to change what actually happened however, you can change the way you feel about what happened so that you allow yourself to be happy now.  Being happy in the moment means you will attract more happiness for the future.  Make a list of the things you are grateful for right now.  No matter how small or insignificant they seem, just list or say out loud.  I am grateful for......

The more you do this the more you will start to leave the past behind.  Fill your mind with positive, happy thoughts so that there's no room for dwelling on things that make you sad or hurt or angry.

Remember the past does not have to equal the future.  The choice is yours.

Increasing your self-esteem

A Message from Noelyne...

I run a number of workshops on getting successful through building confidence and self-esteem.  Life has a habit of testing you and sometimes those tests cause you to choose not to like yourself.  You stop loving yourself, you feel low and unhappy with you.  Your self-esteem drops without realising it's as aresult of all the challenges that have come your way.

Here's a short video to help you raise your self-esteem easily.  Brian Tracy talks about increasing your sales however, you can substitiute sales for whatever it is that you do.

Overcome Fear of Failure

A Message from Noelyne.....

Does the fear of failure hold you back?  For many years I was afraid to put myself forward when an opportunity came along for fear of failure.  I was afraid that I would get it wrong, or look stupid.  I was afraid that I would get tongue tied or was not good enough for the task.  Is that how you feel?  How is your fear of failure stopping you from you getting what you want in life?

Have a look at this video by Brian Tracy.

Expectations

A Message from Noelyne...

I'm currently delivering training on the Census 2011.  I've been skilled up to do this so have a good knowledge of the subject however, I'm not a subject matter expert.  This is unusual for me as the majority of courses that I deliver I have a large amount of experience and knowledge.

Bearing in mind that the Census happens every 10 years, the project last for a few weeks and employs 35,000 + people who need to be trained to carry out their roles, it's unlikely that you would find suficient numbers of trainer with expert knowledge of the Census to deliver the training across the UK during January - March.

However, this does not stop the delegates turning up with an expectation that the trainer is a subject matter expert.  The problem with high expectations is that it leads to disappointment.  People feel let down that their questions are not answered.  Of course with these events there is the added complication that the training is part of the recruitment process so people are not employed until they have successfully completed the training.  Needless to say we are unable to release all the information until contracts have been signed.

How to deal with this as a trainer?  Be open and honest at the start.  Manage the expectations, handle questions as best as you can, encourage participants to make a note of all the things they need to follow up on.  Explain that this is part of their learning journey and that they will have full access to guidance and support once thwy are on contract.  If you have a subject matter expert available, phone them for advice.

Enjot the process of life,
