Life is such an adventure and there is something new to discover daily. Since finishing my employment in the public sector I have entered a brave new world full of opportunity at every corner...so many that my head is buzzing. So luckily I am a trained Life Coach so I stop myself from getting carried away and applying and volunteering for everything in sight and focus on what I want to achieve.
It's easy to get distracted by things that seem interesting on the surface however, may not take me to where I want to be. So that's when I refer back to those goals I wrote down at the beginning of the year and ask myself if I take this action how will it help my get to where I want to be? If my heart tells me it's the right path to take I plough ahead without abandon. If I'm not sure then I hold fire and check out something else. Can you hear it? My intuition telling me what to do.
I'm also a Professional Development Trainer which is great however, it's no use when it comes to the skill of marketing my services. No..now I need to be an expert in marketing and sales too! So for the last month I have been skilling myself up in marketing techniques. I attended a one day course and bought a book and have been following a 28 day marketing plan that I specifically designed for where I am now and to get me to where I want to be. The best way for me is to learn by taking action and improving on my mistakes.......boy have I learned lots! So much that my learning curve is coming back to meet me.Well the great thing is I achieved my marketing goals for this month and promptly treated myself to some retail therapy. Fantastic!
So it all starts again tomorrow and I can't wait until the end of the month...I think I'll treat myself to a weekend away.
Oh well I wonder what life's adventure has in store for me this week?
