The weather!

I suppose being British I just had to do one blog about the glorious British weather.......

Feeling quite sad right now which I know will pass however, guess who decided to take advantage of the fact that there was a glorious hot Summer predicted earlier this year.....yes me and me dearest who have planned to go camping in North Wales for our Summer holiday.

The whole idea was to take the boys Kayaking, Abseiling, climb Snowdon, White water rafting - a lifelong ambition of mine, somewhere with beautiful scenery, mountains and beaches close by.....so North Wales fits the bill. Needless to say the forescast of more torrential downpours is what is causing me to choose to feel quite depressed. On the bright side at least there will be plenty of water for the white water rafting! I just wonder if we will need a kayak for the campsite?

Ok I think my NLP techniques need to be implemented on myself fairly quickly to get myself back to a positive state so that I can give as much as possible to the meeting I have planned with my fellow coaches from the Develop Your Child foundation. It's a celebration of our success and I want it to be awesome....

Have a fantastic weekend whatever the weather and keep smiling!

How good are you at creating effective relationships?

It strikes me that fundamental to our success in life are the relationships that we enjoy (or not) from the moment we enter this world. These relationships shape our personalities, the meanings we create, the states we get into, our physiology, the decisions we make and the results we achieve…….our life is influenced so much by the people we have in our life and choose to stay with or the people we choose to attract.

Building effective relationships affects us at home with our nearest and dearest, our friends, our colleagues and in business. Without good solid relationships built on trust then we are not as effective as we could be and rarely reach our true potential.

I’m just wondering why this was not covered as a subject at school? At least I don’t remember lessons in how to interact with others on a social and emotional level……do you?
It’s probably the reason for a growing need for coaching skills to be introduced to children and young people. How many young people do you know who would benefit from coaching to breakthrough the communication barrier and achieve even better relationships?

Perhaps it needs to be included in the school curriculum? What do you think? I’d be interested to hear the views of parents.

Until next time…….my time management is definitely improving!

Time Management

So here we are half way through the year, longest day and midsummer already celebrated……….people flooded out and stranded, four people sadly have lost their lives. It really brings it home to me about the importance of making the most of every moment as even with goal setting and planning you can not be sure what is around the corner.

Some time ago I vowed that whatever I choose to do I would make sure that I have fun at the same time. So far so good as I truly enjoy the things I choose to do, although I still appreciate that there will be times of sadness particularly the loss of loved ones.

I am not so sure that I have cracked this Time Management mullarkey either……I’m particularly good at telling other people how to manage time (I run courses in Leadership which include Time Management tips) and yet here we are with only *** shopping days until Christmas. Sorry I absolutely detest it when someone says that to me and I certainly have not got time to calculate how many days!!

So as my blogs this week are a little like buses…..none for a couple of weeks and then two turn up at once, I’ve decided I need to focus on improving my time management and start making even better use of every moment so that when I am sat having that coffee and an inspiring thought pops into my mind I’ll capture it there and then for inclusion in my blog. A friend of mine always has a notepad next to the ironing board for just that purpose…….I just find it much more inspiring to have a glass of wine next to my iron.

Here’s to much more effective management and enjoyment of time.

Who am I?

Identity? What does that mean? Are you an individual or just one of the crowd?
Have you ever taken time out to consider the question ‘Who am I?’
Do you know who you are and what makes you tick?
Do you know what you value in life and what’s important to you?
Do you know what you want in life?
Do you know when people have crossed your boundaries?
If you answered yes to some or all of those questions then you are well on your way to creating the life you want and deserve. You know the sort of things that you enjoy and take time out to relax and have fun. You know what is important to you and how to prioritise when making life changing and everyday decisions. You know when someone has stepped over the mark and feel confident about saying something because you value yourself and your feelings.

If you answered No to any of the questions ask yourself…..
How happy are you with your life?
How effective are the relationships you have?
How do you know when to tell someone their behaviour is unacceptable?
How effective are the decisions and action you take and the results that you get?
Take a few moments now to write down a few sentences to describe who you are?

What do you value in life?

What are your wildest dreams?
As for me…..I am a continually evolving and developing human being, a gorgeous woman, girlfriend, daughter, sister, friend, colleague and business woman. I value my family and friends above all……there’s loads more about me…maybe another time.
Anyway this is about YOU……

Have fun and enjoy life,

What motivated me to be a Life Coach?

Just recently a number of people have asked me what made me become a Life Coach……..the quick answer would be to say completing the Life Coaching Diploma with Achievement Specialists. However, as ever there’s a lot more to it than that. Completing the course was just one of many important decisions that I made along the way. Studying Life Coaching has further confirmed my commitment and belief in the power of coaching to enhance not only my own life, also the lives of my family, friends, associates and clients.

Now I could say that my journey started when I was born and as interesting as it would be for you to read all about my life’s up and downs……we would be here a long time! And as I am ever conscious of how precious our time is then I’ll cut a long story short.

I became a professional development trainer in the late 1990’s and soon after became involved in coaching leaders within the public sector to enhance their leadership, motivation and performance. My confidence grew incredibly both personally and as a leader and I soon recognised how useful a tool this coaching is. Coaching within the corporate environment tends to focus on performance at work. A series of personal changes and challenges then sent my self-esteem and confidence plummeting although I didn’t realise by just how much at the time.

It was after being introduced to a Life coach who helped me to realise that I was in a rut with no sense of purpose. After just one session with my coach I started setting goals and taking action to create the life I deserve. I had six sessions with my coach and since then I have trained as a Life Coach and NLP coach. I have left full time employment and now run my own successful Training and Coaching practice. I also run a part-time holistic therapies business and have added Indian Head Massage to my portfolio. I am in a wonderful relationship again and absolutely love waking up to a new day…….a far cry from where I was just two years ago.

So ‘What motivated me to be a Life Coach?’ Realising the power of coaching, being coached by a great coach and knowing that I wanted to master this skill so that I could use it to enhance the lives of others.

Please call me now for more information.

Banish all fears!

I have just spent the most awesome 11 days of my life and it all happened in a hotel in Heathrow!......and no it wasn’t with the man of my dreams although I have taken a huge leap towards achieving my dreams. The result of the last 11 days is that I am now a fully qualified Master of NLP……Uh? Can I hear you saying?

To cut a very long (15 hour days) story short NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programming is how to use the minds language to consistently achieve our specific and desired outcomes. I now have a very powerful skill that can help change people’s lives overnight…..yes that quickly! So if you don’t want to achieve your dreams or create the life you deserve then don’t call me now. Otherwise I am the person for you! I am so excited and have already started using it with family, friends and of course my clients who are all set to benefit and achieve their full potential even quicker.

What problems can I help with?

Typical enquiries are for quitting smoking, weight control, motivation, anxieties, fears, stress, panic, depression, relationship issues, ‘loss’, unwanted behaviours, and also physical symptoms including pains, headaches, irritable bowel problems, breathing problems, blood pressure, heart ‘worries’and skin problems.

If you have any of these problems and you are not serious about resolving them then NLP is not for you.
I am also excited about another development in my life which I will tell you more about next time.

Have an awesome weekend,

With love from Noelyne

Spring Clean!

It's time to spring clean your closets and why not spring clean your thoughts too!

A few weeks ago I signed up to some 'notes from the Universe' on a website called the Adventurers Club www.tut.com. Every morning I get an inspirational thought which sets me up for a positive day. Increasingly I am reminded of the power of thoughts and to choose the best thoughts so that you create the reality that you want.

The self-development books that I have read over the years (and there are loads!!) have been about changing thoughts and beliefs to create a better now. I have also just watched the new DVD 'The Secret' which further confirms that we are where we are as a result of our thoughts. It's about knowing what you want and need and then letting go and trusting that the Universe will provide. I don't like the idea of being in control of my life as this means restriction to me...no room for spontaneity yet for some reason now I feel in control and free at the same time. I can control my thoughts and let the universe do the rest. Brilliant!

So I'm spring cleaning my thoughts right now. I'm also thinking that I need to remove that dust from the window ledge too!

Hey ho! Have an outstanding week.
